The spool on my Abu Garcia Black Max Boot does not rotate when the handle. Do not be shackled though, right?
I just purchase a Abu Garcia Black Max Baitcast reel today. The package showed no signs of crushing or modified, however, when I removed the box and put it on my rod to prepare the chain, led me to a couple of times and I realized my tail is not running when you start the handle. I can rotate freely by hand and becomes smooth and fast. From time to time when you turn the crank when the handle. I have not yet published, I take it back and change? Or is it a condition that was resolved when the string reel? Anyone can help give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Not to sound ignorant, but this is the first baitcasting reel I've ever had. I ususally use of spinning reels.
Do not worry. This is perfectly normal. Some reels leave the factory without the stress of trawling. Just tighten the brake and reel back. Remember to loosen the brake after each use, what is the proper way to deal with any reel with a drag. PS: The only way to turn the thumb button (to loosen the coil) back automatically when you released your thumb.
