Vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Blue w / Thumb Drag?
My dad told me that some years ago, have a blue w Ambassador AG and drag the inch / inch Cast. He said they have a lot of them and tried to find one for him for Christmas. He thinks its either a 5000 or 5500, but not certain. Someone knows what I'm talking about, or know where I can get one? Thank you.
Abu Garcia did not have too much "some" operation Baitcasting reels. It really sounds like an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur PGS or a series of EON in 5600 reel size for me. The main color of coils DGP is silver and the main color EON coil is dark gray / gray. However, the coils are in other colors too. Unfortunately, few colors are not easy to find. I know that blue is one of the colors available, but any doubt, ask if you could find a place. The rolls are very light. The trail is very smooth and very strong. They are very easy to mold and long term, accurate models are easy to obtain. Coils are very similar, except the GSP series will be a little smoother to handle than EON Series bearings more. There are many parts of drums metal and are highly resistant to corrosion from salt water. Now, here's what I do not like the battery. These coils are heavier a side and feel a little awkward if you're not used to them. Both sets of coils will be very ugly scratches if enough in them though. I am not talking about scratches, I talk scratches from normal use. EON is a little more resistant to scratches, mainly because their surface is not brilliant. Although the drag is strong enough, not the coil itself does not "feel" too strong for me. Their bases are made of graphite and its coverage were made of plastic (or graphite). Whenever I did drive, along with these models, the rollers seem very strong. It felt like every part of the coil will eventually begin to vibrate and collapsed. The feeling is a bit difficult to describe (I have a feeling similar to when prompted an early model Hyundai car speeding on the road). Not being very resistant to scratches, nothing that I mentioned above could be regarded as a problem though. Only bothers me a bit is all. So far, the rollers does not give me any major problems yet. The only thing that ever I was the mechanism of voltage coil adjustment in the other coils. If you fish a lot and change the voltage tail often, this part will be the first thing to fail. They are too sensitive to be messed around with frequency. Incidentally, this is one of the coils that are not really wanted to keep for yourself.
